My favorite trick is when you listened to a mixtape so much you even remember what song is supposed to come next. Playlists just don't hit the same as physical mixtape. The youths are missing out.
I had one mixtape that had "Mary Jane's Last Dance" by Tom Petty at the end of it, only it cut off before the song was over. To this day I still hear it as "oh my my, oh hell ye--" and then it just stops.
Third Eye Blind, Stabbing Westward, "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Money in My Hand," this newsletter was a fun blast from the past! The late 90s, what a time to be alive. I hope you keep the three stealth 3EB references in one scene alive; kindred spirits like me will appreciate it!
OMG. Obsessed w/ Publishing Rodeo.

Oh thank you for the podcast recommendation

Truly...your emails never miss!
thank you, Kasee! :)
I agree it’s a wonderful album- has a ton of depth too some of the final songs are my favorite. Stephen has always had a reputation for being an insufferable egoist and you might appreciate this https://www.avclub.com/singer-songwriter-john-vanderslice-on-the-very-personal-1798238890
