I remember feeling INSTANTLY drawn to you the first time we met in class and I wanted to be your friend very badly. I felt comfortable around you and felt I could be myself and that turned out to be completely true. I had an insta-connection with you. I'm pretty sure we also watched Ultimate Beastmaster as a family, and my son loved it. Right now we are VERY into watching South Korean reality competitions together: Physical 100, Siren: Survive the Island and now The Devil's Plan.
The best part about these South Korean reality shows is that the participants are often fans of each other, something that isn't always seen in American counterparts. On Physical 100, they often shout "You're so cool!" at each other.
I do love that about non-American reality shows! I think it's a big reason why people love Great British Bake-Off so much. Everyone just seems so lovely and kind.
I like your take on instant connection versus insta-love, because I do not believe in love at first sight. Not real love. But maybe it is something else! And you cannot tease us with "the most romantic thing my husband said to me would sound bizarre to everyone" and then just...not tell us?!
ahhhhh but I can! because in fiction we get invited into those moments and that’s the most wonderful part, but in real life sometimes they are just for us 😉
